What is crushed river rock?
This is crushed round rock: river rock that's been crushed and screened to between 1/4" and 1/2". It has a very clean look, and the broken faces help it sit tighter than pea gravel.
It's a popular choice for landscape beds, garden paths, patios and around downspouts. With no fines, water drains right through. It won't compact like crushed basalt and can shift some underfoot, so edging helps keep it in place.
